Ster-Kinekor Greenstone Mall launches Kids Cinema. We are avid movie goers and probably go to the Ster-Kinekor Cinemas weekly. While I have a teen and a tween, I remember the anxiety experienced from our trips to the movies.
The boys and I are familiar with the Kids Cinema concept as we have had the opportunity to visit the Sandton cinema. We love the concept and can see why it makes complete sense especially for parents with younger kids.
The Fit Like Mummy team received an invite to attend a screening of Marnie’s World, in the newly opened Kids Cinema. I will be reviewing the movie in a separate post just so by the way. I also spent a lovely afternoon with some of my favourites.
What to expect at a Ster-Kinekor Greenstone Mall’s Kids Cinema
- There’s a dedicated waiting area for the kids.
- Two PS4 gaming stations .
- Several tables covered in crayons and colouring-in pages.
- Express snack kiosk that is close the the Kids Cinema.
- Comfy and oh so colourful chairs.
- An indoor slide (yes you heard right).
- Sponge pit at the end of the slide
The Kids Cinema concept is a great way to introduce your kids to the cinema. The kids will get to be kids, which in turn means parents will be able to watch a movie without having to stress about their kids making a noise or walking around. Ster-kinekor Kids Cinema encourages playtime.
Win Win Situation
If you are a Discovery Vitality, this is a win win situation for you, as your child (under the age of 18) can watch movies for free before 7pm at Ster-Kinekor Cinemas. T & C’s apply. If you manage to smash those weekly goals, then popcorn will be sorted too. Family outings without the stress and wont break the bank sounds pretty darn good.
