Ponta restaurant is perfect for everyone from couples to families to groups. Want to indulge in delicious Mozambique-style Portuguese cuisine and a laid-back holiday atmosphere without having to leave the city.

Since discovering Ponta at Mall of Africa, it has become our family favourite restaurant to dine at. In fact we visit Ponta several times a month. I must admit that we love the relaxed atmosphere and island themed design.

Portuguese Food with Mozambican Flair

The food is always outstandingly delicious and really appetising. The kind of food to have you licking your lips in anticipation. Portions are generous and we always leave completely satisfied. Having travelled to Mozambique, I can honestly attest to the Mozambican flair that Ponta exudes. Staff was extremely friendly with service always being on point.

Ponta carries an extensive menu, but we have a few favourite dishes we can seem to avoid. We are not really creatures of habit but the flavour is irresistible. My boys and I highly recommend the garlic bread.

It isn’t on the menu for some reason, but ask your waiter and thank me later. The coconut rice is life! It’s probably the one thing on the menu that keeps us returning time and time again.

Also try the hake and coconut rise, fish braai platter, grilled chicken and chicken espetada.

We recommend that you visit Ponta, for food that is sure to transport you to that much needed island life.
