So here are my answers to the questions from Laura.
What is your favourite Childhood memory?
Tradition has always played a big part in my childhood and my favourite childhood memory has to do with the tradition of Christmas. Every year was spent with my entire family at my gran’s home. It really was festive and everything Christmas should be. We would attend midnight mass, then come home to celebrate as a family. We partied up a storm and spent hours in the kitchen cooking the most delicious meals. It really was the happiest of time in my life as a child.
If you could go anywhere in the world for a week, where would you go?
I have traveled extensively having visited more than 100 cities, but I still have a long bucket list of places I want to visit. The place I would want to travel to for a week will have to be Rome, Italy’s capital. Influenced by architecture, art and culture Rome has an amazing history worth discovering in the flesh. I’d definitely want to visit the sites of the ancient ruins , Vatican City and numerous museums that house masterpieces of the legends gone before us.
When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?
It was actually a week ago, when my family and I went to watch Daddy’s Home 2. It was really a fun and humorous take on the shenanigans synonymous with the festive season. Definitely a must watch for the entire family. Just be prepared to be left in stitches.
What is your favourite period in history?
Definitely the 70s. It was an exceptionally great decade, The members of the band, who reached unprecedented success in the ’70s, described the decade in a sort of magical nostalgia that provoked a sense of disappointment at not having been born early enough to experience this wonder decade. Having just caught the tail end of the ’90s, I can only reflect on the awesomeness of the 1970s
If you could time travel, would you go back to the past, or forward to the future?
Time travel has never been something that has peaked my interest. I’m someone who prefers living in the present. I believe in seizing the moment and living life to its fullest. Going to the past or future brings no added value as far as I am concerned and that is why I feel it is so important to live everyday as if it were your last.
What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I’m a virgin blogger and still pretty much finding my feet. I can’t pin-point what my favourite thing about it is as yet, but I do love the fact that I get to share my journey with people out there and that I have been able to inspire so many people. Inspiring others, was not the reason for me starting this journey, however it has not only moved to the top of the list of reasons I am motivated to push harder and continue on this journey.
Who was the last person you said ‘I love you’ to?
That is an easy question. The last person I said “I love you” to was my baby boy, Skylar. He’s such an affectionate little bugger and always showers me with tons of hugs and kisses. He has the abilty to warm my heart in the most remarkable way.
What was the weirdest dream you’ve ever had?
Im rather weird and dont seem to remember much. On the odd occassion that I do remeber a dream, it is normally a meaningful dream about someone I care about.
How do you keep occupied on rainy days?
Oh gosh!!! I’m not someone to sit around the house and do nothing. I have the aboslute worst habit of not being able to sit still. I find relaxing exceptionaly boring and such a waste of my time. So even on a rainiest of days, you are bound to find me adventuring and exploring with my kids.
If you could be anything or anyone for one day, who or what would it be?
This is so random, but I’d love to be a dolphin
In a world without internet or phones, what would you invent to communicate?
As much as the internet and phones are so important to everyday life and play a pivitoal role in the 21st century, I would go back to good old-fashined communication of talking to people. I feel that we have become so disconnected and lost that personal touch. Why call someone to catch-up when you can send an email or whatsapp right? We sit in meetings or in the coming of people, only tendiong to focus on whats happening on our phones. We are constantly faced with FOMO and have to constantly check our phones so that we dont miss a beat. We dont even need to think anymore, because Google and YouTube have all the answers and solutions.
